Forest Glen Organic Farm

Recently we had the pleasure of staying with Trevor and Amanda at Forest Glen Organic Farm at Bungawalbyn in the Northern Rivers of NSW. Situated in the Bungawalbyn Wetlands between Woodburn & Coraki, Forest Glen is a working organic farm producing organic tea tree oil, primarily for international markets. Trevor and Amanda are happy to show guests the workings of the farm or explain the many benefits of tea tree oil. But Forest Glen Organic Farm is much more than just a working farm.

Natural Wetlands

Forest Glen also offers comfortable farmstay accommodation, boasting a 5 bedroom cottage (2 Queen, 1 double and 2 twins) with bunk room (sleeps 6), and games room, as well as conference facilities.  The farm has wheelchair friendly showers and toilets, catering to aged or disabled visitors who wish to stay on the farm in its peaceful and picturesque setting. This provides a wonderful opportunity for those who are not so mobile to experience the benefits of holidaying in this peaceful natural environment where the loudest sounds come from other happy inhabitants such as birds and frogs.

But Forest Glen Organic Farm has still more to offer!

Trevor and Amanda have made the picturesque facilities of Forest Glen available for wedding receptions for those happy couples who would like to begin their lives together in this rural paradise. An extensive menu is offered with catering for up to 60 guests in the reception room or more in a marquee set up on the lawn by the beautiful 3-acre billabong.

Trevor and Amanda are also strong supporters of WOOFing (Willing Workers on Organic Farms), having recently written a book entitled “WWOOF Hosting: A Practical Guide”, designed to assist other WWOOF hosts. WOOFers can usually be seen working on the farm.

So whether you are looking for a picturesque Norther Rivers wedding reception venue, a peaceful farm holiday on an organic farm, or perhaps you just want to experience the benefits of organic tea tree oil, why not contact Trevor and Amanda at Forest Glen Organic Farm? They will be thrilled to hear from you!
